So parts of va being southern and country cancels it out making it less southern and country? Most of the large cities in the south aren't what people consider southern just the rural and small towns. I’m really just ready to get it done. I grew up in mcdowell county and from a cultural standpoint, it is certainly southern in identity.

I guess that would also apply to florida, texas, georgia, north carolina, and other southern.
I have often retorted that it is both the northernmost southern state and the southernmost.
