[name_m]hi[/name_m] everyone, i’m talking hypothetically here, but here’s the following scenario. My husband is stuck on [name_f]katy[/name_f] [name_f]jane[/name_f]. A person that can legally change their name wants to be known as. I was born in the 00s and i grew up with a handful of other katie’s.
For those that do not already know, a double barrel name is when a person goes by two names for their first name; [name_f] [/name_f] [name_f]brittany [/name_f], [name_f]krystle [/name_f], [name_f]katie [/name_f], [name_f]meagan [/name_f], [name_f]courtney [/name_f],. I also work with young children. It feels modern and fresh to me, while [name]catherine [/name] feels more elegant and ladylike and more like the royalty spelling.

As a [name_f]katie [/name_f], i feel i absolutely need to weigh in on this! While i adore the name, it sounds too plain with my other top names (emma, emily, anna) in a combo. I kind of like it because it’s simple & cute, but i’m not sure that i myself would want a “simple” name. I used to prefer [name_f]katie [/name_f], but i’ve been crushing on [name_f]katy [/name_f] lately.
